2012 Workshop.  The 2012 Jamboree Workshop will be held April 19, 20, and 21.  Nikki Simpson and the Farmers Branch line dancers host you at the "Best Little Workshop in Texas" where the new line dances, nominated for the upcoming 2012 Texas Line Dance Jamboree, will be presented and taught by world-famous choreographers,  Michael Barr and Michele Burton.  If you've ever been to the Workshop, you know it will be fun!

We will kick off the Workshop with our own private open dance party, Thursday evening, April 19th, 6:30-10:30pm, at the recently renovated Plaza Arts Center only 3 miles from the Farmers Branch Senior Center on the Square in Historic Old Downtown Carrollton, Texas.  Open dances will be done during the Thursday evening dance and during breaks at the Workshop.

Instructors.   Michael Barr and Michele Burton will be back for the Workshop to boogie, waltz, spin, whirl, and stomp us through our dance nominations for 2012. 

 

We know you're familiar with Michael and Michele.  Together and separately, they have given us such “best sellers” as CanAm Tango, Rain Against My Window, Rumba Breeze, Dog-Gone Blues, Zenyatta's Waltz, Doors of Life, Divisadero Cha, What's Your Name, Go Greased Lightning, Black Dresses, American Pop, Second Chance Waltz, Hey Bruce, Mud on the Tires, Midnight Rendezvous... to name just a few dances among many others.

Dances for 2012.  The nominated dances for Jam 2012 will be available here in late January.

 

Dances for 2012.  Nominations by the Texas instructors for new dances for Jam 2012 are shown below in alphabetical order.  The 14 dances will be taught at the April Workshop.  In May the instructors will vote for their classes for  eight dances to be selected as new dances for the 2012 Texas Line Dance Jamboree on October 19-20.  The dances selected for Jam 2012 will be marked with a .  We've tried to provide a link to for the step sheet and a video or two for each dance... just click on the name of the dance.  See you at the Jamboree in October!

Workshop Gallery.   Check the Workshop Gallery.  We found a few photos from recent Workshops and hope you will enjoy looking at them and remembering the fun weekends we've had together.  The most important part of the Workshop are the people who gather together for the renewing of old friendships and the making of new friendships.
